This modern provision supports students aged 11–16 with needs relating to social communication, emotional regulation and sensory processing, often linked to Autism. The Role - Science Teacher
We’re looking for an inspiring Science Teacher who can deliver engaging, differentiated lessons up to GCSE level and who thrives in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
You’ll be based primarily at the Redhill site with occasional work at a nearby satellite provision.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver an adapted Science curriculum that meets students’ academic, social and sensory needs
- Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to create a consistent, supportive environment
- Set personalised progress targets and closely monitor achievement
- Provide detailed assessments and reports for parents, colleagues and external agencies
- Contribute to EHCP reviews, PEPs and LAC documentation
- Create structured, motivating lessons with clear pace and challenge
- Stay informed on Autism education and SEND best practice
- Respond to behaviour calmly and professionally in line with policy
- Support the broader development of the school as it grows
Who We’re Looking For
- PGCE, QTS
- Ability to teach Science up to GCSE
- Experience working with students who have complex SEND needs
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum
- Knowledge of Autism and associated needs
- Ability to adapt and personalise curriculum content
- Reflective, resilient and passionate about inclusive education
