The successful Conflicts Lawyer will join a team of two Senior Conflicts attorneys and form part of the general counsel team. The team are friendly and supportive and work truly collaboratively. Supporting the department is a small team of conflicts analysts based in London, and there will some interaction with the conflicts analysts and attorneys based in the US.
As a Conflicts Lawyer you will have broad and high level responsibilities. As well as being the point of contact for the conflicts analyst to escalate complex commercial and legal conflicts issues for new matters and new clients, you will also advise the fee earners on conflicts and confidentiality issues, design and update policies and procedures, design and provide training, and be integral to the ethics process. There will also be interaction with the other members of the general counsel team who focus on AML, GDPR and DAC 6.
You will be admitted in the US, UK or a similar overseas jurisdiction (Australia or New Zealand for example) and have at least 2 years practice experience, preferably in commercial litigation or corporate. Alongside this you will also have at least 2 years’ experience in a conflicts role at an international city or US firm. Experience with US conflicts would be a bonus, but not essential for this role.
