Job Title: OR24357 - Assistant Accommodation Officer

Contract Duration: 10 Months

Role Details:

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • To provide effective support to the accommodation service within the Accommodation Team, including photocopying, scanning, filing, general data input, use of excel spreadsheets, production of reports, etc. forwarding/returning mail.
  • To accurately record information on the Housing Management (CRM), Huume and other council systems
  • To support the asset and finance officers in obtaining and providing information, data and reports
  • To manage the Accommodation Inbox and calendar.
  • To prepare sign up paperwork promptly and accurately
  • Support residents and officers to raise any repair issues.
  • To support officers to achieve a good level of rent and service charge recovery.
  • To track and reconcile the void properties and produce daily updates to other service users
  • Utilise IT systems to update and record information required according to guidance and established procedures. Ensure customer and management information is accurate and up to date at all times.
  • Manage electronic filing systems.
  • Support the Accommodation Lead to organize training sessions, team meeting agendas etc.
  • As a customer focused role, be able to communicate with our customers at the agreed level
  • To undertake any training and development as required.
  • To contribute to the delivery of the Council’s priorities.

  • To assist as required in the Council’s Emergency Plan.
  • To comply fully with the Council’s IT Security Policy.

  • To contribute to the Council’s emergency plan and respond as required to emergencies including working at rest centres outside of the normal working day.
