A leading global aerospace manufacturing organisation is seeking a Supply Officer to join its Supply Chain Operations team supporting major aircraft production programmes.
This role is responsible for managing supplier delivery performance across a global supply base, ensuring materials and components are delivered in line with production schedules.
Working closely with Procurement, Quality and Manufacturing teams, the successful candidate will drive supplier performance, manage supply risks and ensure the continuity of supply to critical aerospace programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of suppliers to ensure delivery performance meets operational requirements
Monitor supplier delivery metrics and drive recovery actions where performance issues occur
Control demand and forecast signals to suppliers in line with production schedules
Manage order books and maintain accurate MRP master data within supply chain systems
Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies
Act as the primary operational interface for supplier-related queries from manufacturing teams
Work cross-functionally with Procurement, Supply Chain Quality and Operations teams
Participate in supplier working groups and recovery initiatives to resolve supply constraints
Utilise digital tools and data analysis to support supply chain decision-making
Contribute to ongoing supply chain transformation and digitalisation initiatives
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for candidates with experience in manufacturing supply chain operations or supplier performance management.
Key experience includes:
Experience working with MRP systems (SAP preferred) in a manufacturing environment
Understanding of supplier performance management or supply chain operations
Experience working with global suppliers or cross-border supply chains
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across procurement, quality and operations teams
Experience supporting supplier recovery or performance improvement activities
Additional Experience (Advantageous):
Lean or continuous improvement exposure
Project management experience
Experience working in complex manufacturing environments such as aerospace, defence or automotive
