Quality Assurance Inspector

Rotating shift pattern
A leading biomedical device company is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to support its quality operations across a rotating double-day shift. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all products meet stringent regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements. The successful candidate will carry out in-coming, in-process, and final inspections while contributing to continuous improvement across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct mechanical, physical, and visual inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished medical device products in line with specification and quality plans.
Perform first-article, in-process, and final release checks to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory expectations.
Maintain accurate inspection records, logs, and documentation within the quality management system.
Support investigations into non-conformances, deviations, and process improvement initiatives in collaboration with quality and engineering teams.
Ensure inspection equipment is maintained and calibrated and assist in implementing new or updated quality procedures and standards. Skills & Experience

Strong understanding of quality management systems, ideally including ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and/or cGMP principles relevant to biomedical device manufacturing.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and part prints.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Highly organised, methodical, and able to maintain accurate documentation and quality records.
