About the RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Design & Technology Teacher with a strong background in Food Technology / Food Science to join a supportive secondary school in Norfolk. This 3-day-a-week position offers the chance to inspire students, deliver engaging practical and theory lessons, and contribute to a thriving D&T department.
Key Responsibilities- Teach high-quality Food Technology lessons at KS3–KS4, ensuring strong progress for all learners.
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum standards.
- Maintain a safe, organised, and hygienic Food Technology environment.
- Support curriculum development and contribute to wider D&T activities.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students of all abilities.
- Work collaboratively with staff and engage in CPD opportunities.
- Promote creativity, independence, and a passion for food, nutrition, and healthy lifestyles.
Requirements- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- Strong subject expertise in Food Technology, Food Science, or Nutrition (essential).
- Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
- Ability to cover additional D&T areas is advantageous.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour management, and curriculum requirements.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
