Project Manager (Electronics)

Are you an engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and taking ownership of projects from concept to delivery? We're looking for a Project Manager to join a growing engineering organisation delivering bespoke technical solutions across multiple industries.

This role would suit either:

* An experienced engineer seeking their first step into formal project management, or

* A project manager with a technical background who thrives on leading varied engineering projects in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Our Project Managers are not just coordinators; they're part of the team. You'll be expected to dive into the technical detail when needed, while also driving delivery, managing budgets, and keeping customers informed every step of the way.

What you'll be doing

* Taking ownership of projects from quotation through to delivery, ensuring they're completed on time and within budget.

* Providing technical input to project scopes, costings, and schedules.

* Leading communication between customers, internal teams, and stakeholders to manage expectations and resolve issues.

* Regularly reviewing project progress and adjusting priorities, resources, and schedules as needed.

* Maintaining project documentation, ensuring accurate records of tasks, drawings, and budgets.

* Using the project management system to track costs, hours, and deliverables.

* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems.

What we're looking for

* Strong background in engineering design or a similar technical discipline.

* At least 5 years of industry experience in an engineering role.

* Some project management experience, ideally with development or test equipment projects.

* Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.

* Problem-solving mindset, adaptable to change, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities.

* Good understanding of structured project processes and documentation.

* Relevant engineering qualification (a project management qualification is a plus but not essential).

Why join us?

You'll be part of a close-knit team where no two projects are the same. This is a role for someone who wants the challenge of project management but doesn't want to lose touch with the engineering detail. If you're ambitious, hands-on, and keen to see your projects through from start to finish, we'd love to hear from you
