Jackson Hogg are exclusively supporting a specialist engineering business based in the Newcastle area, on a HSE Advisor position, reporting directly to the HSE Manager.

The HSE Advisor will be based in the Newcastle area with travel to the Teesside region for upcoming projects.

HSE Advisor Responsibilities

The HSE Advisor will be responsible for delivering all aspects of Project Health, Safety and Environmental activities for the works on site.

* The HSE Advisor has the responsibility for all HSE processes and systems during the execution of the Project and reports directly to the Construction Project Manager on all Project related matters.

* The HSE Advisor will have signing authority in accordance with the project signature matrix.

* Provide HSE assistance to the Construction Project Manager & Project Manager during the Project Lifecycle.

* Conducting site HSE assessment of site works including regular auditing and feedback into the QHSE Manager, Construction Project Manager & Project Manager

* Develop and maintain Project HSE Plans and provide input into Project QHSE Plans.

* Develop and maintain Project HSE Interface and Execution Plans.

* Develop and maintain Project HSE Work Plans.

* Develop and maintain Project HSE Incentive Scheme for the promotion of reporting hazards, risks and opportunities for continual development.

* Lead role in performing and creating Site related Task Risk Assessments.

* Demonstrate leadership and commitment to all HSE matters, and have awareness and understanding of the Project, and participate in Offshore visits where appropriate.

* Support the Construction Project Manager, providing HSE performance input to all Weekly and Monthly Reports.

* Attend Project HSE meetings, providing HSE updates as required.

* Perform analysis of Hazard, Incident, Accident and Near Miss reports.

* Interface with Subcontractors and Vendors on all Project HSE related matters, including occupation health and hygiene related issues.

* Input to Safety & Environmental Risk Studies.

* Input to Safety Critical Elements and Performance Standards with Tech Safety department.

* Input Safety Case Impact Assessments for submission to Client.

* Any other duties as directed by line Management or Company Directors.

HSE Advisor Requirements

Essential

* Minimum ONC level qualification or equivalent

* NEBOSH qualified

* COSHH

* Experienced in HSE discipline projects in the oil & gas sector or construction industries

Desirable

* Degree level qualification

* IOSH qualified

* ISSOW Trained

* CDM

* 5 years in cost experience on EPC & Construction Projects

* CCNSG Safety Passport

* BOSEIT, MIST & Offshore Medical
