Premises Manager - Watford School - Immediate Start (Permanent Role) 
Pertemps Education is working in partnership with a well-regarded school in Watford to recruit a proactive and reliable Premises Manager for an immediate start.  
This is a permanent, full-time position, ideal for someone with strong site management experience and a hands-on approach to maintaining a safe and efficient school environment. 
 
Location: Watford 
Start Date: Immediate 
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent 
Salary: £26,409 - £28,624 per annum (dependent on experience) 
 
About the Role: 

Oversee the day-to-day maintenance, security, and safety of the school site, buildings, and grounds 
Ensure all facilities and services meet health and safety standards and legal requirements 
Carry out general repairs, minor plumbing, painting, and maintenance as needed 
Liaise with external contractors and manage on-site work to ensure compliance with standards 
Monitor and manage heating, lighting, and alarm systems 
Carry out regular site inspections and risk assessments 
Support with setting up rooms for school events and lettings 
Open and close the school premises and act as a key holder 
Work collaboratively with the leadership and administrative teams to maintain high site standards  
The Ideal Candidate Will: 

Have previous experience working as a Premises Manager or Site Supervisor, ideally in a school or similar setting 
Possess a sound understanding of health and safety legislation and site compliance 
Be proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently 
Be hands-on with practical maintenance and basic repair skills 
Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving abilities 
Be willing to undertake relevant training, including safeguarding and first aid 
Be flexible and reliable, with a commitment to supporting the school community
