Make a Real Difference - Support Children with SEN in Liverpool

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary/special school in Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with children who have a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning and thrive in the classroom.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social/emotional difficulties

• Assist teachers in delivering creative, tailored lessons and interventions

• Help manage behaviour and provide emotional support when needed

• Work collaboratively with SENCOs, therapists, and parents to support individual learning plans

• Encourage independence and celebrate small steps of progress

• Have previous experience supporting children with SEN (in education, care or community settings)

• Be calm, resilient, and able to build strong relationships with pupils

• Understand the importance of consistency, patience, and praise

• Hold a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) - desirable but not essential

• Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service preferred)
