Here at Academics we are working with a number of Primary School settings across the county who are in constant need of supply teachers. One of our busiest areas is Southend and we are currently looking to add to our pool of teachers to meet the current demand.

Supply teaching is a great way to a take a break from a fulltime teaching role whilst keeping your feet firmly cemented in the classroom. Not only can this help you having a better work life balance it will also give you unrivalled exposure to schools in your local area allowing you to see differences in schools and help you potentially build a network of contacts which could only further your career for the future. Working with your dedicated consultant, we will work hard at getting you work based around your availability and individual circumstances.

We are keen to work with hard working and adaptable teachers that are happy to take day to day, short term bookings on either a fulltime or part time basis. Supply work also comes in the form of longer term bookings, covering long term sickness or maternity etc. and can more often than not lead to permanent roles.

To Be A Supply Teacher You Will Need The Following:

Be a fully qualified teacher with QTS, be an ECT or Instructor/Unqualified Teacher (We can also help HLTA's)
Be able to provide references for a full 5 years (career breaks excluded depending on circumstances)
Have a Enhanced DBS on the update service (we can process this for you if you do not already have one)
