Shipping & Logistics Coordinator

Altrincham – Office Based

Our client a growing sports lifestyle design and sourcing business is seeking a Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to manage inbound and outbound shipments across domestic and international markets. This role is critical to ensuring products move efficiently from suppliers to customers designated point of delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity to grow with a fast-scaling sports merchandise business, you will have a varied role with direct responsibility and impact working in friendly modern offices.

You will work closely with merchandising, e-commerce, and customer service teams to maintain smooth logistics operations while controlling costs and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Freight & Shipping

Coordinate inbound freight from manufacturers and suppliers (UK and overseas)

Book and manage shipments to customers

Liaise with freight forwarders, couriers, and customs agents

Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or issues

Customs & Documentation

Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs paperwork.

Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, duties, and VAT requirements

Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting

Inventory & Warehouse Support

Support goods-in processes and ensure accurate stock updates

Coordinate deliveries with warehouse or fulfilment partners

Assist with stock transfers and returns management

Cost Control & Reporting

Monitor freight costs and identify opportunities to reduce spend

Maintain shipment and cost reports

Support forecasting for peak periods, launches, and promotions

Cross-Team Collaboration

Work closely with merchandising and customer service teams

Support launch timelines and seasonal drops

Assist with logistics planning for trade shows, events etc.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience in freight, logistics, or supply chain coordination
  • Strong understanding of shipping processes and courier networks, both UK and Internationally
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communication with internal teams and external partners
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced business environment
