We are working with our client to recruit a Workshop Technician to join a long‑established UK manufacturer of agricultural machinery. The company is known for building robust, high‑quality machines and providing excellent technical support to farmers and contractors across the country. About the Role

This is a hands‑on workshop‑based position focused on the service, repair and preparation of specialist agricultural machinery. You'll be working on self‑propelled sprayers, carrying out diagnostics, mechanical repairs, electrical work and hydraulic system maintenance. The role suits someone who enjoys varied technical work, problem‑solving and developing expertise in niche machinery.

Key Responsibilities

* Service, repair and prepare agricultural sprayers to a high standard

* Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults, including CAN‑BUS systems

* Assist with machine upgrades, component replacements and system calibrations

* Support customers over the phone, helping them troubleshoot technical issues

* Maintain accurate service records and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards

* Contribute to general workshop duties and support field engineers when required

* Work safely, efficiently and with attention to detail at all times

Skills & Experience

* Strong communication skills and a flexible, team‑focused approach

* Good understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems; CAN‑BUS training available

* Basic knowledge of hydrostatic drive systems and diesel engines

* Agricultural engineering experience or familiarity with sprayers/GPS systems is desirable, but full training is provided

* Ability to work independently, follow direction and maintain safe working practices

* Confident speaking with customers and guiding them through issues remotely

* Welding and steel fabrication experience is an advantage

* Strong problem‑solving skills and excellent attention to detail
