Religious Studies Teacher

Join our dedicated team as a Religious Studies Teacher in the Wyre & Fylde area. This role is ideal for a dynamic individual with a robust understanding of the science curriculum, effective communication skills, and a commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment. The position is available for September on a long-term basis.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and informative lessons in Religious Studies at KS3 and KS4 levels; experience with KS5 is advantageous.
  • Utilize strong subject knowledge to inspire and motivate students.
  • Maintain effective classroom management skills.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Be a positive role model, demonstrating compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance practices and curriculum delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching Religious Studies at KS3 and KS4; KS5 experience is beneficial.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Reliable, committed, and interested in working with students.
  • Good interpersonal skills; must be trustworthy, punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
