A prestigious opportunity has arisen for a skilled Shift Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical bias) to join the dedicated engineering team at one of the City's most iconic high-rise commercial buildings.

This is a technically diverse and fast-paced environment, ideal for an experienced engineer looking to work on a major London site with a forward-thinking FM provider. You'll be part of a professional shift team maintaining critical building systems to the highest standard.

Role Overview:

Working as part of a 24/7 engineering team, your key responsibilities will include:

*

Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across building services plant and systems

*

Diagnosing and resolving issues on a range of mechanical and/or electrical systems including:
- HVAC, pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, fans
- Lighting, power distribution, control panels, and BMS interfaces

*

Supporting building compliance, ensuring logs, reports, and statutory records are up to date

*

Responding to urgent issues quickly and effectively during shifts to maintain uptime

*

Collaborating with a multi-skilled team and shift leaders to ensure safe, consistent operations

What We're Looking For:

*

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical discipline (or equivalent - City & Guilds, BTEC, etc.)

*

18th Edition (if electrically biased)

*

Proven experience in commercial building maintenance, ideally on a large or high-profile site

*

Comfortable working with both electrical and mechanical plant within a building services environment

*

Strong fault-finding, teamworking, and communication skills

*

A proactive, professional approach to H&S and compliance

Desirable (Not Essential):

*

BMS monitoring or controls experience

*

Basic cross-skilled knowledge (e.g. electrical engineers with mechanical plant experience, or vice versa)

*

HVAP training or previous exposure to HV systems (training can be provided)

Package Includes:

*

Up to £54,000 base salary (depending on experience)

*

Continental shift pattern - 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off

*

Christmas bonus

*

HV Authorised Person bonus after training (if applicable)

*
