Altera Recruitment is working with a leading engineering services provider in the water sector to recruit an experienced Electrician to join their Southern delivery team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of clean and wastewater infrastructure projects, carrying out installation, testing, and commissioning activities on client sites across Hampshire and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

*

Install, refurbish, and test electrical systems on water industry sites, ensuring work meets BS7671 and company standards.

*

Travel to client sites within the Southern Water region, with occasional overnight stays depending on project requirements.

*

Inspect, survey, and fault-find electrical systems, producing accurate reports and completing all required documentation.

*

Collaborate with mechanical colleagues as part of a multidisciplinary team, assisting with related tasks when required.

*

Read and interpret design drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals to complete projects accurately and on time.

Skills and Qualifications

*

Fully qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).

*

17th / 18th Edition certification (essential).

*

Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in electrical installation and testing, ideally in the UK water industry.

*

City & Guilds 2391 Test and Inspection and control/automation experience (advantageous).

*

Valid UK driving licence (essential); ECS Gold Card and confined space training (advantageous).
