Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm, Term Time Only
Contract: Full Academic Year

Teaching Personnel are proud to be working with a dedicated SEND School located in the South Tyneside area (NE34), who are seeking a committed BSL (British Sign Language) Teaching Assistant to join their team in September 2025.

This rewarding role involves providing essential 1:1 and small group support to students with hearing impairments, as well as wider support across the classroom for pupils with a range of additional needs including ASC, ADHD, and SEMH.

What We're Looking For:

A candidate with a BSL qualification (Level 1 or above preferred), though individuals with practical BSL experience will also be considered.
Someone with a passion for supporting children and young people with special educational needs.
A reliable and patient individual who thrives in a structured and nurturing environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
