Health & Safety Manager

Location: Reading (covering projects across Berkshire & Oxfordshire)

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 car allowance benefits (depending on experience)

The Company:

We’re working with a well-established regional main contractor based in Reading. With a full order book and consistent repeat business, they deliver a diverse range of projects including commercial refurbishments and small-scale new builds, ranging from £200k to £10m in value. Around 60% of their current workload sits within the exciting and fast-paced motorsports sector.

The Role:

As a Health & Safety Manager, you’ll play a proactive role in ensuring H&S compliance and best practice across live projects. Working closely with site teams, your focus will be on coaching, influencing, and supporting operational staff to uphold high standards across all sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out site inspections and audits
• Identifying risks and promoting safe working practices
• Investigating incidents and ensuring accurate reporting
• Coaching and supporting site teams with a hands-on approach
• Liaising with clients, third parties, and internal stakeholders
• Supporting continuous improvement across the business

Requirements:

• NEBOSH qualified
• Experience in a dedicated H&S role within construction
• Strong background with regional or national contractors

Location:

This is a mobile/site-based role covering projects across Berkshire and Oxfordshire, with regular visits to the Reading office. Candidates should ideally live within the Thames Valley region.
