Our Tyler hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse.? We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in our Pre-op where you will be responsible for: What You Will Be Doing: Performs activities that maintain and restore function and prevent complications and further loss. Collaborates with the patient/family/significant other and other members of the rehabilitation team to formulate a plan of care that includes patient self-care deficits, nursing interventions and expected outcomes Monitoring the changes in the patients? condition including the recording and reporting of symptoms, assessing vital signs and intervening when appropriate. Supporting the culture of quality with delivery of quality nursing care to decrease potential harm to other patients and peers Participating actively in UTHET?s performance improvement process as it relates to nursing practices and procedures Monitoring, recording, and reporting symptoms and changes in patients? conditions Interacting with co-workers and other hospital staff, guests and patients providing outstanding customer service signated time frame. The Rehabilitation RN performs activities that maintain and restore function and prevent complications and further loss. Assess the physical, psychological and social status appropriate to the age of the patients served in a systematic and continuous manner to identify self care abilities and learning needs. Collaborates with the patient/family/significant other and other members of the rehabilitation team to formulate a plan of care that includes patient self care deficits, nursing interventions and expected outcomes. Provides nursing care and patient/family education with respect and caring, utilizing clinical knowledge necessary to implement the plan of care according to approved standards of care and practice. Evaluates patient?s response to plan of care through assessment of appropriateness and effectiveness of interventions using a continuous quality improvement approach. Modifies the plan as necessary to achieve optimum outcomes. Strives for continuous self development in rehabilitation nursing and interpersonal skills to provide customer service utilizing a professional presentation, effective communication and technical knowledge as representatives of ETMC. Demonstrates accountability and responsibility for ongoing unit operations to ensure optimum function of the organization. Details: So what experience are we looking for in our RNs? Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school. Rehab, ortho/neuro, med/surg experience preferred. Current RN license or compact RN license to practice in Texas. Current BLS required, ACLS preferred
