Our client is a family run manufacturing company with clients in various industries including pharmaceutical, petro chemical, steel processing and automotive. Through retirement - they are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their growing team.

The Contracts Manager will be joining their Pipe Fitting and Fabrication team who specialise in projects ranging from Pipe installation, repair and class 1 welding for various industrial facilities across the UK.

Requirements for the Contracts Manager:

* Minimum of 5 years' contracts management experience within the construction/engineering industry (experience in pipe fitting and fabrication would be required)

* Must hold a full UK driving licence

* Have experience of working on production sites, experience of liaising with subcontractors and Clients

* Have a thorough understanding of engineering drawings.

* Have the ability to carry out site surveys.

* Have experience writing programmes, setting and meeting weekly targets in accordance with deadlines and budgets.

* Team management experience

Duties for the Contracts Manager:

* Effectively project manage new and existing customer contracts so as to satisfy clients. (Up to £1m in value)

* Drafting and revising contracts, ensuring that all contracts are accurate and relevant documentation is correct and updated where necessary

* Plan, manage and deliver projects

* Working alongside our in-house draughting department

* Issuing drawings to clients for approval and sign off on fabrication.

* Developing and issuing of RAMS

* Corresponding with external stakeholders to document all activities

* Developing plans to fit the schedule of works

* Managing QA and ITP / sign off with the client.

* The Contracts Manager must be able to order and organise all materials need for project completion

* Monitoring site progress & programme

* Coordination with other trades and other contracts managers within the business

* Recording delays and picking up variations.

* Identifying ways to increase efficiency and improve productivity

* Preparation of work in progress reports for submission to Directors.
