Location: London Area (3 Days in the Office / 2 Days from Home)

We're looking for a Passive ICT Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering team working on high-profile enterprise building projects across London. You'll be responsible for designing converged network infrastructures that support a range of building control systems.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary design and delivery team, you'll take projects from concept through to client approval and site implementation. This is a hands-on design role that requires strong technical knowledge, coordination with third parties, and the ability to produce clear, construction-ready documentation

Key Responsibilities

Produce and develop detailed passive network designs for enterprise-grade converged building networks

Coordinate with third-party system providers (e.g. security, access control) to define cabling requirements

*

Create ICT layout drawings, rack elevations, containment routes, and patching schedules

*

Liaise with contractors, designers, and clients to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with project goals

*

Attend design team meetings and client presentations to explain and justify design decisions

*

Support project managers and site teams during installation to ensure designs are implemented correctly

*

Manage multiple projects at once, ensuring deadlines are met for client approvals, FAT, and installation

*

Raise RFIs and technical submittals, and track changes through to documentation

*

Identify commercial and technical risks, and flag potential variations to the project manager

What we are looking for?

*

Proven experience delivering passive network designs for enterprise or large-scale building projects

*

Strong coordination skills with main contractors, sub-contractors, and design teams

*

Proficiency in producing engineering documentation (layout drawings, rack elevations, patching schedules)

*

A recognised network design qualification (e.g. CNIDP or equivalent)

*

Ability to work within budgeted hours and support commercial efficiency

*

Comfortable presenting technical concepts to clients and design teams

*

Familiarity with construction site installation processes, including secondary containment

*

Knowledge of frameworks like WiredScore is advantageous
