Industrial Refrigeration EngineerLocation: Midlands / East Anglia (Commutable to the Peterborough region)Salary: Up to £50,000 + Overtime + Standby (Negotiable based on experience)Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (40 Hours/Week)The OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Engineer to join our specialist service team. This role focuses on the service and maintenance of heavy commercial and industrial systems, including CO2, Freon, and Chilled Water applications. You will act as a technical lead on-site, ensuring our clients' systems operate at peak efficiency while maintaining the highest safety standards.Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Service: Execute planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on heavy commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
- System Optimization: Ensure all client systems are running to optimum conditions to meet specific site operating requirements.
- Diagnostics: Utilize advanced problem-solving skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex system failures.
- Safety & Compliance: Operate strictly within Health & Safety guidelines, COSHH regulations, and safe systems of work.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Service Supervisors, Admin teams, and Senior Engineers to deliver seamless client service.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate digital records of work, parts used, and system performance.
Technical Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience within large-scale commercial or industrial refrigeration.
- Certifications: * City & Guilds 2079 (F-Gas) is essential.
- CO2 Qualification is required.
- CSCS Card & MEWP License.
- Ammonia (NH3) experience is highly advantageous but not essential.
- Electrical Proficiency: A thorough understanding of electrical controls and wiring diagrams.
- Diagnostics: Proven ability to work unsupervised on complex breakdowns.
- Driving: A full, valid UK Driver's License is required for travel within the Midlands/East Anglia region.
