As an SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate closely with our SEN teachers and support staff to deliver top-quality educational assistance to students with a variety of special educational needs. Your role will be instrumental in providing personalised support, facilitating learning activities, and nurturing the social and emotional development of students.

Key Responsibilities for an SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, aiding them with academic tasks, social interactions, and personal care as required.
Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering tailored learning activities and interventions under the guidance of the SEN teacher.
Implement strategies outlined in Educational Healthcare and Behaviour plans to support students' progress and achievement.
Cultivate a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.
Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure cohesive support for students with SEN.Qualifications and Skills for an SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant:

Previous experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably within a school environment.
Possession of a relevant qualification such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate or equivalent.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of students with SEN.
