Our client is a highly successful and well-established manufacturer. They are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join them at their site in Chippenham.

Salary: Fantastic basic salary + Call out allowance (to be discussed during the application process) + Company benefits.

Hours of work: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week (NOTE: Flexibility is required due to nature of role, there may be a need for call outs in case of urgent situations).

PLEASE ONLY APPLY FOR THE ROLE IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

* Production/Operations Supervisor/Management experience. Ideally, across a 24/7 operation.

* IOSH / NEBOSH qualification.

* Practical experience of problem-solving techniques, Lean Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement.

* Reporting on lagging and leading KPI's.

* IT literate to use Microsoft Office products, also SAP knowledge is desired.

* Familiarity with EHS legislation quality processes/procedures (IPPC, ISO-9001, ISO-14001, ISO 45001).

* General knowledge of plastic injection moulding and extrusion processes is advantageous but not essential.

* ILM level 3 or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities:

* To manage the day-day production activities, including health & safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people.

* To coach and develop individuals and teams to realise their full potential.

* To seek opportunities to reduce cost, and to make processes safer and more robust.

* Ensure compliance with all company HSE policies and procedures across the site.

* Use capability, disciplinary and attendance procedures to manage non-conformance.

* Reporting (written/verbal) on department KPI performance (daily/weekly/monthly).

* Ensure production and process recording systems are completed accurately.

* Ensure any issues are being addressed by the appropriate support function.

* Use continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques to reduce cost, and to make processes safer and more robust.

* Being proactive, checking/auditing to ensure procedures are being followed.

* Undertake employee reviews, team briefs or similar as required.

* Regularly communicate both formally and informally with employees, the aims, objectives and relevant KPI's.

This role would suit an experienced Manager / Supervisor / Team Leader that has come from a manufacturing company. Previous job titles could include; Production Manager / Operations Supervisor / Production Team Leader / Manufacturing Manager / Manufacturing Supervisor / Manufacturing Team Lead / Workshop Manager / Workshop Supervisor / Head of Production / other senior / management role
