About the RoleOur client is looking for a skilled and proactive Facilities Technician to join their team. This hands-on role supports the ongoing maintenance and safety management of our developments. You will ensure that buildings remain safe, well-maintained, and welcoming. You will work closely with colleagues and contractors, using the tools and systems provided to deliver high-quality maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine general maintenance across the development.
  • Conduct and log scheduled checks (fire alarms, emergency lighting, smoke ventilation, lift lines, etc.).
  • Oversee and coordinate third-party contractors on site, including reviewing RAMs and issuing permits to work.
  • Carry out minor repair work including painting, carpentry, plumbing, plastering, and light electrical work.
  • Maintain communal areas, refuse zones, and building exteriors.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are securely stored, well-maintained, and used responsibly.
  • Support risk management activities including inspections, water testing, sprinkler checks, and equipment flushing.

What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on experience in general maintenance, with skills across electrical, plumbing, decorating, and carpentry.
  • A solid understanding of building systems and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Relevant safety qualifications or certifications are an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and use sound judgment when needed.
  • A proactive, well-organised approach to work with strong attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competence in basic IT tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).
