Are you passionate about supporting young people with SEN and SEMH needs? Are you local to Harlow, Essex? Join 1st Staff and make a genuine impact on young people's learning and development by delivering personalised 1:1 tuition in Math's and English.

We are seeking patient and committed educators who ideally have experience as a Teacher, Teaching Assistant, Mentor, SEN/SEMH specialist or Tutor.

Role

Job Title: Outreach Tutor

Location: Face to face, in learner's homes, local library or community centre in Harlow

Hours: Flexible, part-time or full-time

Start Date: ASAP

Subjects: English and Maths

As an Outreach Tutor, you will deliver tailored tuition sessions to young people unable to access mainstream education. This may be because they have challenging behaviour, been excluded or have SEN and SEMH needs. Most of our referrals are 10 - 15 hours per week, so full-time tutors can typically support multiple students and work up to 30 - 35 hours per week. This is an incredibly rewarding role, where you can help young people overcome barriers, instill confidence and empower them.

What we are looking for:

* Experience working with young people with SEN or SEMH needs

* Confidence supporting primary or secondary aged students

* Ability to plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons

* Supportive, dedicated and student - centered approach
