The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics management, contract negotiation, delivery and governance. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail to manage and optimize contracts within our logistics operations.Key Responsibilities:- Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts with logistics providers to ensure the best terms and services.- Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, addressing any issues that may arise.- Implement governance frameworks to oversee contract management processes, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and industry standards.- Collaborate with internal departments such as procurement, operations, and legal to align contract management strategies with business objectives.- Conduct regular reviews and audits of contracts to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.- Maintain accurate records of all contract documents and correspondence.- Provide training and guidance to staff on contract management and governance procedures.- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in logistics and contract management to enhance operational efficiency.- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders to facilitate smooth contract execution.Skills and Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role in logistics, ideally within regulated transport - Strong understanding of contract law and governance frameworks.- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.- Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.Benefits:- £70,000 - £75,000 + Car + Excellent benefits package.- Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.- Collaborative and dynamic work environment.Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV detailing their relevant experience and skills.
