We are seeking a Belgium/ French speaking Corporate Accountant to join a well-established company in London, with some international travel to Belgium. This role involves managing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and delivering accurate reporting within the accounting and finance department.

Description

• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with Belgian GAAP.
• Prepare month-end and year-end closing processes for accurate reporting.
• Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Manage tax compliance, including VAT submissions and corporate tax filings.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures within the organisation.
• Contribute to process improvements within the accounting and finance department.

Profile

A successful Corporate Accountant should have:

• A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or equivalent.
• Experience working in the transport and distribution industry is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
