Maintenance Technician – 6-Month Agency Contract

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pmLocation: MaidstoneStart: ASAP

We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on a 6-month contract through an agency. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, hands-on, and confident supporting a busy production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine checks on planned maintenance items.
• Prioritise and complete repairs for any site breakdowns.
• Support the delivery of the PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) system and general maintenance tasks.
• Provide support to production as and when required.
• Complete weekly site inspection reports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
• Manage and report on reactive T-card jobs to the Operations Manager.
• Provide absence cover for the Operations Manager when required.
• Chaperone contractors and visitors on site when necessary.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities as guided by the Operations Manager.
• Attend morning meetings to support site engineering coverage and feedback actions/comments.
• Carry out facility installations in line with current legislation and regulations.
• Make amendments and adjustments to production equipment as instructed.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within work areas and workshop.
• Monitor spare parts stock levels and notify the Engineering Manager of any required items.
• Keep workshop and engineering stores clean, tidy, and well-organised.
• Uphold food hygiene and food safety standards at all times.
• Ensure smooth shift handovers and maintain strong communication with fellow Maintenance Technicians.
• Complete any additional tasks requested by the Engineering Manager or Operations Manager.
