I am currently looking for a caring and passionate SEN Support assistant who is experienced in supporting children who have special needs to work alongside a child 1:1 at a Primary School in Leeds.
You will be joining a primary school in Leeds (LS12). The school continues to be an Ofsted graded Good' school. The Head teacher is looking for someone who can understand the needs of the child and support their learning. This role is full time and they wish to meet someone as soon as possible for interview.
The successful candidate will be working full time hours 8:30am-3:30pm offering up to £90 per day depending on experience and is due to start from December 2020 until July 2021. A permanent contract will be issued after July 2021.
The successful candidate will have the right attitude alongside some experience in order to meet the demands of the role supporting pupils with challenging behaviour. You must be committed to building a trusting relationship with the pupils, so you can successfully encourage them to participate in learning. The school welcomes those who have experience working in SEN schools, with a pro-active and engaging personality.
Your role will be work 1:1 with a child in Year 6 who has Global Delay and Learning Difficulties. The child is working at a Nursery level and does require some personal care.
The school offer free onsite parking to all workers, also the nearest bus stop is only a 3-minute walk away from the school.
