The Role

Our partner, a vibrant and forward‑thinking Special Educational Needs (SEN) school, is seeking an experienced and passionate SENDCo to lead their SEN provision. You will:

Strategic Leadership: Develop, implement and monitor the school's SEND policy, ensuring compliance with the SEN Code of Practice.
Assessment & Provision: Oversee the identification and assessment of pupils with SEND, coordinating appropriate interventions and personalised learning plans (EHCPs, IEPs).
Team Management: Line manage a dedicated team of teaching assistants and support staff; deliver regular training and professional development.
Collaborative Partnerships: Work closely with classroom teachers, senior leadership, external specialists, parents and carers to promote inclusive practice.
Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and produce termly reports for Governors, the Local Authority and Ofsted inspections.
Advocacy & Advice: Act as the key point of contact for SEND-related queries and champion a culture of high expectations and achievement for all pupils.About the School

We are looking for a SENDCo who:

Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination (or is willing to complete it within the first academic year).
Has proven experience leading SEND provision in a school setting, ideally within an SEN specialist context.
Demonstrates in‑depth knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice, EHCP processes and Local Authority frameworks.
Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships.
Shows resilience, creativity and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
