An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health & Social Care Teacher to join a well-resourced, oversubscribed 11-18 mixed comprehensive secondary school in Rugby. The Role - Health & Social Care Teacher


The school is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Health & Social Care to cover an absence within the department.
You will be responsible for delivering Health & Social Care at KS4 and KS5, making this role suitable for Early Career Teachers, experienced teachers, and practitioners with BTEC or A-Level experience.
The ability to teach Psychology or Sociology alongside Health & Social Care would be advantageous, though not essential.
Key responsibilities include:


  • Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons at KS4 and KS5

  • Inspiring learners and supporting strong academic progress

  • Contributing positively to the wider Social Science Department

  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, achievement and engagement

Person Specification


The successful candidate will:


  • Hold QTS, QTLS, or be an Overseas Trained Teacher with UK-recognised qualifications (NARIC/ECCTIS)

  • Unqualified teachers with relevant experience will also be considered

  • Demonstrate the ability to engage, motivate and challenge students

  • Show commitment to maintaining high standards and working collaboratively within a progressive department
