Salary: £9 - £10.5 / hourly

Key Tasks



    • Ensure that you work pro-actively with Management to ensure that all tasks given are undertaken in the most efficient, timely and accurate way.
    • Before you undertake any task, ensure that you fully understand the task and what is required, if you are unsure or unclear communicate this to your Supervisor.
    • Understand current and future workload and be prepared to work around the needs of the business in your department and other areas of the business/warehouse.


  • Ensure the correct products are picked, packed, labeled, checked & despatched as per customer requirements
  • Ensure that all labeling (product, case, pallet) are accurate and applied as per customer requirement
  • Ensure that all pallets are built correctly as per customer requirement
  • Before any goods leave the building they are checked and signed off to reduce the risk of errors
  • Ensure that before you start a task that you have a good supply of consumables to finish the job
  • Inform your Supervisor of any day to day issues that effect your working efficiency
  • Ensure that you have a good supply of labels for all printing
  • No paperwork to be left lying around at anytime
  • Ensure that all paperwork is filled out, checked off and signed neatly so that others can understand your workings
  • Communicate any empty bin locations to the Goods in Supervisor
  • Take part in the loading/unloading of containers on or off site
  • Need to be able to use all authorised equipment and machinery without constant supervision
  • Ensure that if you are unhappy with any instruction you communicate this to your Supervisor
  • Ensure that you work pro-actively with your Supervisor & colleagues around the company


  • Ensure that the area you have been working in is tidy and things are put away at the end of each day
  • Ensure that when you are undertaking tasks you create sufficient space to work in
  • Ensure that all items are put back in their place i.e. empty pallets/cardboard/shrink wrap/stationary
  • Ensure that all work surfaces such as packing benches are clear after completing tasks
  • Calculators/pens/tape guns and safety knives to be kept together when not being used
  • All empty cardboard boxes to be broken down and taken out to the cardboard skip
  • Ensure that all stock is neatly stacked and in order in the racking
  • Advise your Supervisor immediately of any warehouse consumables that are low or have run out
  • Ensure that the floor in the area you have been working in is swept and that all aisles are kept clear of debris
  • Radios, lights & heating to be switched off at the end of the day
  • No cups/cans or food wrappers to be left lying around
  • Tools to be put back in the tool box

Ideal Candidate Profile


  • Good standard to GCSE level education
  • Previous warehouse experience essential


  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent time keeping and flexibility
  • Enthusiastic, team player
  • General level of Health & Safety awareness
  • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
  • Manual Handling trained
  • Pivot Truck license preferable

 £9 & £10.50  depening on experience 

The role is essentially a picker/packer position but would very much like the candidate to have a Flexi fork lift licen
