We are working with an organisation that provide short term residential homes for children/young people who have experienced trauma and behavioural difficulties which may include where a placement/number of prior placements have broken down, along with short notice moves to alternative placements.

The impact this can have, including anxiety, fear, confusion and displacement is great and can of course also include anger or any number of complex emotions. Children/Young People will feel that they do not know what is going to happen to them, who will care for them, where will they go etc.

This organisation prides itself on providing children & young people in the above circumstances with a strong, resilient care team, who cares for them, supports them and enables them to trust the adults around them. Through therapeutic support the team listens to them and helps them to reflect and ideally make positive changes.
