Senior Quantity Surveyors - please take a look at this role

This Central London main contractor is growing faster than a snag list on handover day, and are in need of a Senior Quantity Surveyor someone who knows their way around a JCT contract yet doesn't flinch at a spreadsheet.

They deal mostly in refurbishment traditional, heritage, occasionally modern with project values between £50k and £2m. Clients range from corporate landlords to charities, and their work is rarely dull (old buildings tend to keep secrets). If you enjoy problem-solving with a tape measure in one hand and a calculator in the other, this could be for you.

This is a client-facing role. That means a professional manner, a straight answer, and the ability to steer a meeting without steering it off a cliff. Once you've got the lay of the land, you'll manage your own diary and work from home (when it makes sense).

What you'll be doing:
•Estimating, tendering, cost plans the usual suspects
•Managing subbies without losing your patience (or your pen)
•Pricing variations with one eyebrow slightly raised
•Tracking costs, forecasting cashflow, and reporting like it matters
•Liaising with clients, surveyors, and the rest of the crew without resorting to interpretive dance

What we're looking for:
•10+ years' Main Contractor experience
•3+ years navigating London's unique brand of construction chaos
•Strong grasp of JCT (Minor, Intermediate, and ideally D&B)
•Calm under pressure, clear under scrutiny
•Fluent in Excel and not allergic to paperwork
•Commercial/Construction Management qualification
•A driving licence is helpful, but won't be held against you if you take the Tube
