SANZA Teaching Agency are currently recruiting on behalf of wonderful primary schools in Waltham Forest who are looking for teaching assistants for a range of positions starting in September 2025 (daily supply and long-term positions).

There are positions available in year 1 to year 6, as well as early years (nursery, reception).

The positions will all be a mix of general classroom support, as well as 1:1 support for students who have additional needs.

Key responsibilities of a teaching assistant:

Provide the class teacher with support to ensure the day runs smoothly
Assist with preparing resources and activities
Assist with behaviour management
Provide support to identified students with additional needs
Help implement and follow the students' Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP)
Collaborate closely with the class teacher and the SENCO to plan and adapt activities to meet the pupil's specific needs

Flexible and adaptable- primary schools are busy environments and no day is the same!
Proactive and able to use initiative
Confident and assertive- able to implement boundaries and routine
