What You'll Be Doing:
Analyse pilot use-cases and concepts of operation to guide cockpit design
Apply Human Factors principles to enhance HMI design for the Typhoon fighter aircraft
Collaborate with Avionics System teams, Test Pilots, Flight Test communities, and customers
Contribute to requirement derivation and conceptual HMI solutions
Participate in the development of immersive simulators and full-scale cockpit mock-ups
Support flight testing of new cockpit equipment and designs
Work on capabilities such as sensor integration, navigation, communications, weapons control, and defensive aids
Conduct Human Error Analysis to support safety and airworthiness
Define and evolve cockpit control schemes and visual symbology
Produce technical documentation, support usability assessments, and assist with qualification and system clearancesWhat You'll Bring:
A degree (or equivalent) in Human Factors, Psychology, or User-Centred Design
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confidence in presenting to varied stakeholders
Experience deriving system requirements from high-level customer needs
Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks independentlyDesirable Skills:
Experience with usability testing, user assessments, and simulator-based trials
Knowledge or background in the Military Air domain
