Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Salary: £90 - £110 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, long-term

Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Oldham to recruit a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual committed to supporting children's learning and development in a dynamic school environment.

About the Role

As an HLTA, you will play a key role across the school, supporting teaching and learning in a variety of classroom settings. You will deliver targeted interventions, support individual pupils, and provide whole-class cover during teacher PPA time. Confidence in classroom management and adaptability are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher
Provide whole-class cover when required
Support small groups and individual pupils to help them achieve their full potential
Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment of pupils' progress
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and wider school teams

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
Proven experience within a primary school setting
Strong classroom management and communication skills
The ability to motivate, inspire, and engage young learners
A proactive, flexible, and positive approach
