Our client, a leading company in the water infrastructure sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a contract basis in Preston. As a Senior QS, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing water infrastructure projects within the UU region. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to significant projects while working outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing all aspects of quantity surveying for water infrastructure projects
Preparing and analysing project costings, estimates, and budgets
Conducting valuation processes for ongoing works
Negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with contract documents
Providing advice on contractual claims and disputes
Overseeing procurement processes and managing subcontractors
Monitoring project progress and ensuring timely delivery within budget
Preparing and presenting detailed reports to stakeholders

Job Requirements:

Experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the water infrastructure sector
Strong knowledge of surveying principles and practices
Proficiency in preparing detailed cost plans and estimates
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
Understanding of contract law and claims management
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work effectively on a contract basis, outside IR35
Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in surveying or a related field
