The Opportunity Play a key role in building a new housing offer for homeless ex-offenders. You'll work closely with the London Probation Service and a jointly funded AfEO Coordinator (operating across the tri-borough) to develop and deliver a high-impact accommodation pathway that supports safe, sustainable resettlement.
Role Purpose
Procure suitable, affordable PRS accommodation for AfEO referrals—brokering new units and leveraging existing routes (in-house Procurement Team, Capital Letters, West London OOL Project, and other partners).
Work agilely and flexibly: meet landlords and agents, visit/inspect properties, accompany clients to viewings, and arrange/attend online viewings and meetings where appropriate.
Complete holistic needs assessments (affordability, suitability, support) and negotiate rents, incentives and tenancy terms with PRS landlords; follow internal processes to enable timely move-on in or out of borough.
Provide bespoke hand-holding resettlement and tenancy sustainment, coordinating partner input to ensure support needs are met and tenancies are maintained long-term.
Utilise available funding to arrange essentials (travel, furniture, white goods and other setup items) to give each tenancy the best possible start.
About You (Requirements)
Experience working directly with vulnerable people with support needs who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Proven property procurement background, engaging PRS landlords/agents and navigating local housing markets.
Experience collaborating with statutory and non-statutory partners linked to ex-offenders (Prison/Probation, substance misuse, mental health, and related services).
Background in a housing options or similar environment with solid knowledge of homelessness and housing legislation and PRS placement pathways.
Essential: previous experience within a Housing Association or Local Authority.
Strong negotiation, relationship-building and record-keeping skills; confident working in the community and managing a mobile workload.
PLEASE NOTE: All applications are monitored and shortlisted candidates will be contacted via phone call or email
