Semi Senior Accountant (with Audit Experience)

Location: Kent (Swanley area)Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annumContract: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

Our client, a reputable and long-established chartered accountancy practice based in Kent, is seeking a motivated Semi Senior Accountant with audit experience to join their growing team.

This role offers an excellent blend of audit exposure, client-facing responsibility and ongoing professional development. You’ll be joining a supportive, friendly firm where high-quality work and strong client relationships are at the heart of what they do.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with and leading on audit assignments across a varied portfolio of clients.
• Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing corporation tax and personal tax computations.
• Supporting senior team members with client queries and technical matters.
• Working to agreed deadlines and maintaining high professional standards.
• Building strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience working within an accountancy practice, ideally in a Semi Senior or similar role.
• Previous audit experience is essential.
• Studying towards ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small, supportive team.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, client-focused approach.
• Experience with cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero) would be beneficial.
