What you’ll be doing

As a key member of our Surveying Services Team, you’ll:

  • Conduct a wide range of property surveys including condition, structural, disrepair, damp & mould, retrofit, and fire risk remedials.
  • Prepare detailed reports, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Collaborate with residents, local authorities, and contractors to deliver solutions with empathy and professionalism.
  • Champion compliance with HHSRS, Decent Homes, CDM2015, and emerging legislation like Awaab’s Law.
  • Provide expert advice to internal teams and external partners to ensure safe, compliant, and sustainable homes
  • Support investment planning, major voids, and improvement works that directly impact residents’ quality of life.

What you’ll bring

  • A minimum HND in Building Construction or a degree in Building Surveying with at least 5 years’ experience.
  • Strong knowledge of building pathology, repairs, and planned maintenance.
  • A methodical, problem-solving mindset and excellent time management.
  • Confidence in preparing specifications, costings, and technical reports.
  • A customer-first attitude and the ability to communicate across all levels.
  • Physical fitness to carry out inspections in varied environments.

Desirable:

  • MRICS or MCIOB qualification
  • Experience in social housing or with a registered provider
  • Familiarity with Decent Homes, Awaab’s Law, and CDM regulations
