Senior Management Accountant - Business Support - Location: FE College based in Walthamstow

We're supporting a outstanding FE College in their search for a Senior Management Accountant to join their Finance Department where they are dedicated to delivering outstanding technical and professional learning. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial reporting and effective financial management across the college.
Day-to-day of the role: - Financial Reporting & Management Accounts: Prepare and review management accounts, financial statements, and reconciliations. Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide recommendations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor and report on capital projects and grant expenditure.
- Business Partnering & Stakeholder Support: Act as a financial advisor to budget holders, providing insights and support to enhance financial decision-making.
- Financial Controls & Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal controls. Maintain compliance with sector funding requirements.
- System & Process Improvement: Enhance financial systems and processes. Implement automation to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Education: Level 2 (or above) in English and Maths. Full or Part Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with three years’ relevant experience.
- Experience: Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Experience supporting budget holders and finance users across an organisation.
- Skills: Advanced Excel skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to manage complex and sensitive issues.
- Attributes: Strong organisational skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, commitment to professional development.
