Here at Abatec, we are delighted to be recruiting for a valued client within the automotive sector. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team, supporting production efficiency through proactive and reactive maintenance, equipment repair, and general site upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.

*

Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns efficiently and effectively.

*

Support production line changes and tooling requirements.

*

Supervise contractors, ensuring work is completed safely and to the required standard.

*

Source parts and components, balancing cost-effectiveness with lead times.

*

Contribute to general site and building maintenance.

Skills & Experience Required

*

Strong background in fabrication, welding, and general maintenance.

*

Experience supervising contractors and supporting equipment installation.

*

Knowledge of engines, transmissions, or CNC machinery (advantageous).

*

Familiarity with planned maintenance systems and Health & Safety practices.

*

Problem-solving ability with electrical or mechatronic systems (desirable).
