Teaching Assistant - Trowbridge

We are working with a fantastic specialist school in Trowbridge that is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team as soon as possible on a full-time basis. The school caters to children aged 3-11 with Severe Learning Disabilities (SLDs) and Autism and is committed to delivering high-quality education that helps every child thrive.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with pupils, teachers, and other professionals to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Key information for a Teaching Assistant:

Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full-time, 08:30-15:00 (Term-time only)
Pay: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience)
Location: TrowbridgeWhat you'll be doing as a Teaching Assistant:

Providing tailored support in both one-to-one and small group settings
Supporting the development of communication and social skills
Encouraging independence and ensuring a safe, engaging learning space
Assisting with emotional regulation and managing challenging behaviour
Collaborating with teachers and parents to provide consistent, high-quality supportThe role of Teaching Assistant is ideal for someone who:

Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Is calm, proactive, and well-organised
Holds a minimum Grade C / Level 4 in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
Has previous experience working with children
