Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant

Location: Newbury

Salary: £13.00 per hour

Hours: 18 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Tuesday – Thursday (8am – 2pm, flexibility 9am – 3pm)

Houston & Hawkes are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant to join our team at our corporate site in Newbury. This role plays an important part in supporting the kitchen team and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen environment.

Duties:

• Supporting chefs with basic food preparation when required
• Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen, equipment and work areas
• Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Assisting with deliveries and stock organisation
• Ensuring all hygiene and food safety standards are followed

Requirements:

• Previous kitchen porter or kitchen assistant experience preferred
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen
• Good teamwork and communication skills
