As part of continuing their investment in building a strong Operational leadership team, the largest privately owned tape printer in Europe seeks to appoint an accomplished Planning & Scheduling Manager to play a key part in their onward growth strategy.

This new Planning & Scheduling Manager role demands an experienced, practically astute and dynamically energetic Print Production centric professional, with the strategic intelligence & people leadership skills to further cement their overriding passion and capability for delivering exceptional product & customer care.

Working with a Pre Press & Production team (currently in excess of 30 staff across two sites), you will become a key part of the Operational leadership team, working alongside the Client Services Director & Managing Director and be responsible for effectively managing the planning of all print production, ensuring that deadlines are achievable and any forthcoming challenges or priority issues are clearly communicated to all relevant departments.

The role is integral to operational success, by ensuring production schedules are accurate and that reports are generated to provide insight into machine utilisation, production trends and resource performance to aid effective business decisions.

Main Accountabilities:

* Plan and schedule production activity for all departments to ensure on-time job delivery to clients.

* Produce daily 'works to' lists for production teams detailing scheduled activity.

* Manage the effective delivery of daily job requirements in line with client expectations and agreed deadlines.

* Identify capacity constraints and recommend solutions, including additional resource or shift adjustments.

* Generate clear and accurate reports on production performance, including machine utilisation, estimate vs actual metrics and cost centre variance.

* Monitor production patterns to identify peaks and troughs, guiding future resource planning.

* Provide insights and recommendations to improve operational Business performance and profitability.

* Promote a positive and efficient working environment that further enhances Company values.

* Highly articulate, literate and numerate, combining exceptional communication skills with professionalism, integrity and accountability in all duties undertaken.
