Spanish MFL Teacher

Reed Education is seeking a dynamic Spanish MFL Teacher to join a secondary school in Lancaster on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment for students.

Day to day of the role:
  • Delivering Spanish lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, with KS5 being an advantage.
  • Creating a stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and engagement.
  • Developing lesson plans and instructional materials that cater to varying levels of ability.
  • Assessing and recording students’ progress and providing feedback.
  • Maintaining discipline in the classroom and adhering to school policies.
  • Participating in school events, meetings, and professional development sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience of teaching Spanish at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 being an advantage.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Reliable, committed, and able to demonstrate the qualities of a good role model.
  • Good interpersonal skills, trustworthiness, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
