Hours: Monday to Thursday - 7:45am to 4:45pm | Friday - 7:45am to 3:45pm
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Holiday: 33 days inclusive of bank holidays

The Opportunity:

A long-standing and reputable manufacturer based in Cradley Heath is currently seeking an experienced and electrically qualified Maintenance Engineer to join their on-site engineering team. This is a permanent, full-time position offering excellent work-life balance with regular daytime hours and a supportive working environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background and a solid understanding of mechanical systems, with the ability to carry out both reactive and preventative maintenance across a variety of production machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repairs across production equipment

*

Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and carry out panel work and wiring

*

Assist with mechanical maintenance and general plant upkeep

*

Support continuous improvement projects and machine upgrades

*

Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and internal procedures

*

Maintain detailed maintenance records and contribute to planning future works

*

Liaise with production teams to minimise downtime and optimise machine efficiency

Requirements:

*

Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, 17th/18th Edition) - essential

*

Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

*

Confident with fault finding, control panels, and electrical systems

*

Some mechanical knowledge and willingness to support broader maintenance tasks

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication and problem-solving skills
