Functional skills tutor

A renowned further education provider is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Functional Skills Tutor to join the team.

Within this role, they are looking for someone to deliver high-standard functional skills courses in Maths and English at both their Nottingham and Derby sites.

As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will be responsible for:- Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons in Maths and English from entry level up to Level 2- Assessing, tracking, and reporting students' progress and performance- Adapting teaching methods to suit individual student needs and abilities- Maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment.**Requirements**The ideal candidate will:- Hold a relevant teaching qualification, such as PGCE or equivalent- Have substantial experience in teaching functional skills (Maths and English) up to Level 2- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills- Have a proven track record of achieving high success rates in a similar role- Be able to work flexibly across both Derby and Nottingham sites.**Benefits**- Competitive salary package up to £31,500 per annum- Opportunity to work with a leading further education provider- Great pathways for career progression- A supportive and collaborative working environment.**Location Specific Requirements/Benefits**- The role will require the ability to travel between the Derby and Nottingham sites, so a full driving license and access to a vehicle would be advantageousThey are looking to interview (and for someone to start) as soon as possible.
